Dirty Money

His AIPAC handler is now at the door
Reminding him of who he's working for.
He might want to look the other way,
But he can't do it when he's in their pay.

He lives on dirty money; it's like a bribe.
Such a shame in our "democracy"
That he's not working for you and me.

Money that's been made from who knows what,
A system working at its best it's not.
But politicians, they all have their needs,
And they will never bite the hand that feeds.

As they take dirty money; it's like a bribe.
Such a shame in our "democracy"
That they're not working for you and me.

The Kennedys tried to fix the problem.
They said that we should call a spade a spade.
A decision that's good for one foreign country
Shouldn't always be the one that's made.

But their honest efforts went nowhere,
And we're left with shabby fare,
Corrupted to our very core
And dragged along from war to war.

As they take dirty money; it's like a bribe.
Such a shame in our "democracy"
That they're not working for you and me.

Dirty money, a rotten game.
Now our best days are past.
Dirty money, such a shame
That our fine system couldn't last.
Dirty money, such a shame
That our fine system couldn't last.
